Happy Thursday!!!
The topic of the day is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!!
Just so everybody knows, the book is WAY better than the movie.
It isn't my favorite one in the series, but its still ok......
In this movie we meet Professor Lockhart, the idiot new defense against the dark arts teacher who thinks he is really amazing, but he came by his fame in the wrong way....
So essentially how the story goes is there is a humongous snake in the castle who petrifies people:
snake
petrified hermione
then harry has to kill the snake and tom riddle's ghost thing (tom riddle is Voldemort) and save Ginny Weasly before she dies.
and i shall end with this deep thought:
EXPELLIARMUS!!!!

The Sorcerers Stone
In the first Harry Potter book, Harry starts out living with his cruel aunt and uncle and his cousin.
He begins to get mysterious letters which his uncle hides from him. Harry can do strange things, like talking to snakes.
Harry and his family run away to an island where they think the letters can't get to them. But, this time, instead of letters, on Harry's birthday, Hagrid, a giant comes to tell him that he is a wizard; and a famous one at that!
When he goes to Hogwarts the Sorting hat tells him he would do well in Slytherin {the evilish house} but since Harry doesn't want to be bad he is put in Gryffindor.
So Harry goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and learns to be a wizard. He follows in the footsteps of his father and becomes his house {Gryffindor's} seeker in a game called Quidditch. He also fights a troll and makes two good friends {ron and hermione}
They think that Snape, their cruel potions teacher, is trying to steal the sorcerer's stone so that he can bring Voldemort {the dude who killed Harry's parents and gave him a lightning scar} back from the "dead".
They try to stop him, only to discover that it was not Snape, but Quirrel who was Voldemort's servant.
And then the day is saved.
Deep thought
Did you know that on the mirror of Erised Erised is Desire spelled backwards???

HARRY POTTER!!
For the next eight days I will write about HARRY POTTER.....
Harry Potter is a story about a boy who discovers he is a wizard {a very famous wizard}
He goes to a magical school and meets magical people and usually gets into alot of trouble {but he never gets expelled, which is strange}
He has a mortal enemy called Lord Voldemort {don't say his name!!} who gave him a lightning scar.
I will leave the rest of the story for tomorrow,
And I shall end with a deep thought:
WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA!!

STAR TREK: VOYAGER!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! Today is the last day of STAR TREK {tear} so I am going to write about my favorite STAR TREK series, STAR TREK: VOYAGER!
Voyager is different from all of the other series because it takes place on a different ship {Voyager}, it takes place in another quadrant {the Delta Quadrant} which is very far away from the Alpha Quadrant where the crew of the Voyager is from. Another different thing about VOYAGER is that its captain is a woman, Kathryn Janeway.
The reason why the Voyager, along with a Maquis {humans that resent the fact that the Federation/Cardassian treaty gives their homeworlds to the Cardassians} ship that the crew is chasing, end up in the Delta Quadrant is because a being called the Caretaker is dying and must find someone to take his place to care for the Ocampa. The Ocampa homeworld had no water because of the Caretaker's people so his people left him and a partner to make sure the Ocampa stayed safe and to protect them from some evil aliens called the Kazon. She left to see the galaxy, leaving him alone in his work.
On the Maquis ship, there is a simple crew. Only a few of them become main characters. First, the Maquis captain, Chakotay who becomes the first officer on Voyager after he destroys his ship to save people.
Then B'Ellana Torres who eventually becomes chief engineer on the Voyager
She marries Tom Paris, another character later.
He used to be a Maquis but at the beginning of the series he is an observer on Voyager so he can tell the crew what the Maquis might do.
Then a double agent for Starfleet on the Maquis ship is Tuvok, Janeway's weapon's officer
Now the Voyager crew:
Captain Janeway
Then Neelix, an alien from the Delta Quadrant

And Kes, an Ocampa, she is later replaced by Seven of Nine
Kes is on top and Seven is on bottom.
I shall now end with a deep thought in Vulcan:
Spock kreylaong plomikong spacura.

STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE 9
The series of the day is DEEP SPACE 9!!!
Its one of my favorite series.....
Unlike all of the other STAR TREK series this one takes place on a former Cardassian {a slighty evil race of aliens} space station which orbits a planet called Bajor, which until right before the series begins, was fighting for their freedom because they did not like Cardassian rule.
The picture above is the space station. When Commander Benjamin Sisko comes to the station with is son, Jake, he doesn't want to be there. He would rather have a job on earth, maybe designing ships. This makes Captain Picard {my least favorite STAR TREK captain} angry. He is not nearly as angry as Sisko though, Captain Picard had once been turned into a Borg {baaad robot people} and Picard had killed Sisko's wife {even though Picard didn't really know what he was doing}.
Then who should we run into on the station, but O'Brien, Picard's former transporter cheif who is coming to work aboard the station. {remember him from yesterday's post??}
Then we meet Kira, a Bajoran officer, who will be the first officer
Then Odo, a changeling {he can change shape}
Then we meet Jadzia Dax {she is complicated, she has a parasite thing that they call a simbiont in her which has been alive for a really long time so it has traveled from one host to another, the previous host of the Dax simbiont was Curzon, one of Sisko's old friends}
Next we have Dr. Julian Bashir {shhhh he is secretly genetically engineered to be smarter} who can't wait to practice what he calls "frontier medicine"

Then there is Quark, a Ferengi { Ferengi are lying, cheating, stealing aliens} he runs a bar. His nephew will one day be the first Ferengi to join STARFLEET..... Later, Worf {from the Enterprise....} comes to the station. As a random peice of information, a scene from STAR TREK: VOYAGER takes place on Deep Space 9 at Quark's bar {where Quark tries to swindle one of the characters into buying some fake jewels} I shall end with this deep thought {in Vulcan} Spunau bolayalar t'Wehku bolayalar t'Zamu il t'Veh. {the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one.} | |

STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION
The series of the day is STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION!!
I, personally don't like this series very much. The characters are only slightly interesting because they show up in other STAR TREK series.
Since I don't know very much about the series itself I will talk about the characters who cross over from one series into this one or this series into another one.
First, the characters who cross over from THE NEXT GENERATION to another series:
Now the people who cross over INTO THE NEXT GENERATION!!
Q kind of doesn't belong anywhere so I put him in this catagory......

Deana Troi and William Riker show up for the last episode of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE
in THE NEXT GENERATION they are the councelor and the first officer
O'brien comes from the Enterprise to Deep Space 9 where he is cooler.
Worf also crosses over into Deep Space 9
Captain Picard comes in for the first episode of Deep Space 9 to yell at people........Now the people who cross over INTO THE NEXT GENERATION!!

STAR TREK 2010!!!
The STAR TREK topic of the day is the movie that came out in 2010.
It was basically a remake of THE ORIGINAL series, except it had a different plot and different actors.
Basically what happens is time is changed on the day that Captain Kirk is born, because a Romulan {another race of aliens} ship comes from the future. The Captain of this ship {Nero} is determined to destroy the United Federation of Planets because he blames them for the destruction of his planet {craaaazy} which is going to happen, in his reality, in like 500 years.
It is a really good movie!! The only thing a little weird is the ship {the Enterprise} I mean they could have made it look at least a little like the one in the really old series so that everyone knows that the ship is the Enterprise during Kirk's time. It needed to be a little less high-tech. Can't you see the difference:
